Uncas is a young Mohican and one of the main characters of the animated series, The Last of the Mohicans.
Background[]
He is a 20 year-old young Mohican who is handsome and moreover, possesses the great vitality attributed to his lineage and a warrior who is instinctive, quick, and tough. However, he is at the same time naive and sensitive. He takes great pride in his race, and harbors certain contempt for the boundaries of the white man, whose actions he cannot comprehend.
His destiny is to succeed his father in order to become the chief of Delaware. Because he is bound by his destiny however, Uncas must first learn to tame his rage, and also gain wisdom and moral character. After a romantic encounter with Cora, he is even driven into direct confrontation with the world of the colonists, much like Hawkeye.
