The Trial is the second, third and fourth episodes of the second season (Bugs' Adventures), the twenty-eighth, twenty-ninth and thirtieth episodes and the sixth multi-part episode of the animated series, Toy Toons.
Plot[]
Part 1[]
One day the fly and the spider hatch a plan to steal the honey from the Bees’ warehouse. The fly, pretending to be injured, asks the bee-guard to help him. The later appears wary, but the fly manages to get him to concede and pass the night under the canopy of the warehouse, protecting him from the oncoming thunderstorm. Moreover, the fly succeeds in convincing the bee to place securely in the warehouse a rare piece of musk in a bag. During the night, the fly then sneaks himself in the warehouse and empties the bag of the precious musk, then accuses the fly of haven stolen it the next day. The bee vehemently affirms his innocence, but the fly, enraged, declares that he will appeal to the forest tribunal, requesting all the large honey containers of the warehouse in exchange for the loss of the precious musk.
Part 2[]
Thanks to an plan previously conceived between the fly and the spider, the trial seems to lean in their favor. However, the brother of the accused bee, convinced of his innocence, won’t surrender to the idea that his sister is a thief and starts his own in-depth investigation.
Part 3[]
When the Judge decides to enact his sentence, commanding the bee to compensate the spider and the fly with ten large jars of honey, the bee’s brother asks the judge to do one last test, before passing out the definitive sentence: to do a mould of both the spider and the fly with and without a copy of the missing musk. The form of the resulting moulds are then completely different, proving the fly and spider’s lie. Both are then sentenced accordingly.
