The Third Wheel is the eighth episode of the first season of the animated series, Sissi: The Young Empress. It was released on November 4, 2015.
Synopsis[]
Ludwig is convalescing at Sissi and knows that his love for her is impossible. The engagement of Sissi and Franz was approaching. Also, the Baroness, coming to find the book on the magic bracelet discovers that the jewel is on Sissi's wrist.
Plot[]
After the incident, Ludwig, still on the mend, is at Sissi's home and for a moment it seems to reveal to the girl who has her real feelings for. But in Possenhofen, Franz arrives along with Baroness von Tollet and her daughter, Ilary and her pet squirrel, Lulu.
She officially comes to choose with Sissi the tiara that she will wear as future empress, but in reality Sofia sends her here for all other matters. Sissi and her animal friends help Fiodor, a male stork to seek his partner, Pilar. Lulu, Nut and with his great pleasure, Glis will brood the eggs in his absence. How Nut can resist in that nest while Glis sings and courts Lulu?
Meanwhile, Theodore tries to impress Ilary and decides to organize a boat ride on the lake, but someone ends up in the water giving the occasion to Franz to show to Sissi all of his swimming skills. Before leaving Possenhofen, Baroness von Tollet browses the book of the bracelet in Ludwig's bag and discovers a secret.
