The Spring of the Golden Monkeys (Italian: La fonte delle scimmie d'oro) is the twentieth episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot

Thanks to the confession of the tattoo artist in Calcutta, Sandokan and his friends learn that Suyodhana is alive and reorganizing the sect of the Thugs. They are also afraid he will kidnap another girl, who will be sacrificed to Kali. In fact, Jalim is the chosen one, and her father, Gurdev, takes her to Suyodhana, who receives them in an ancient temple in the jungle.

By falling into a trance, Ada visualizes the temple, recognizing the clearing with ruins, a rock in the shape of a bird, and many golden monkeys as the same place where she too had been confined. Our heroes find a book in the library in Varanasi enabling them to locate the mysterious temple.

When they reach the ancient ashram, the sacrificial ceremony is already underway, and Sandokan frees Jalim, but they are caught as they try to make an escape. However, Sandokan has a clever idea: he devises a way to make the water level rise in the cavern until it sweeps away the army of Thugs and its leader.
