The Rajah's Tigers (Italian: La tigre del Rajah) is the first episode of the second season (The Tiger Roars Again) and the twenty-seventh overall episode of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot

Imprisoned aboard a galleon ship, James Brooke is to be transferred to jail and his days are plagued by a recurring nightmare: the rage of Sandokan. Then, in Kiltar, our hero is proclaimed Rajah and is loved by his people. Brooke, however, has little intention of winding up in a British prison, and with the help of Ushitora, Kien Koa, and a bully with alarming strength called Mati, he is able to take possession of the ship and escape.

Time passes tranquilly, and the neighbors’ gifts fill the halls of Sandokan’s palace. Yet among these, there is a strange sculpture of a tiger, accompanied by a rather mysterious note. No one knows that inside of it is hidden one of the thugs of the White Raja, Sandokan’s new enemy.

The first attempt to assassinate Sandokan will fail, in so revealing that the white Raja had given an order to kidnap Marianne. The White Raja will, however, succeed in his second attempt, as a wounded Sandokan witnesses the kidnapping of his beloved lady.
