The Order to Kill Zorro (Japanese: ゾロ暗殺指令, Zoro ansatsushirei) is the thirty-fourth episode of the Japanese animated/anime series, The Legend of Zorro and was originally broadcasted on December 27, 1996 in Japan.

Synopsis[]

By chance, Diego runs into Teo, an old schoolmate from Spain, who is in Mexico under orders to kill Zorro, although Diego is unaware of this. Diego, however, is in awe of Teo’s ability as a fencer, as it was in fact he who first taught him how to use a rapier.

When Diego finds out that Teo’s mission is to kill Zorro, Teo then realizes that Diego and Zorro are one and the same person. In the inevitable showdown, Teo begs Diego to stop being Zorro so that he won’t have to kill him, but in the name of the Mexican people who are oppressed by the Spanish Army, Diego refuses and challenges Teo to a duel. Teo wins the duel, but, when he cannot bring himself to kill Zorro, he is killed by the poisonous, lethal and deadly arrows of a killer under the pay of Kapital.
