The Imprisoned Tigers

The Imprisoned Tigers (Italian: Le tigri prigioniere) is the thirteenth episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot[]

Finally, Sandokan, Yanez, Marianne and Kammamuri return to Mompracem. However, a nasty surprise awaits them there: the Tigers have been captured by the English while were attacking a merchant ship. Only Sea Spider has escaped, who has managed to swim back to the island to wait for Sandokan. The Tigers have been locked up in the stronghold in Samarinda, but Brooke isn’t satisfied— he wants Sandokan!!

He announces that if Sandokan doesn’t turn himself in within four days, that his men will be hanged. Sandokan, Yanez, Marianne, and Kammamuri leave for Samarinda and once there, they go to the marketplace in disguise in order to obtain the necessary information to devise a plan. They then decide that the only way to free the Tigers is for Sandokan to take the hangman’s place on the day of the execution while, at the same time, Marianne, Yanez and Kammamuri will blend with the crowd. The plan succeeds!

They escape back out to sea by way of the local fishermen’s harbor, and rendezvous with s Sea Tiger who is waiting to take them back to Mompracem.
