The Goodhearted Hare is the fourth episode of the first season of the animated series, Toy Toons.
Plot[]
Taking advantage of his mother’s absence, a baby hare sets out in search of a tree with red berries for which it craves gluttonously. This little fellow would also like to surprise his mother by bringing some berries back to their house. However, along the way, the hare meets up with a seemingly kind, yet black-hearted fox who invites him to follow her to the red berry tree.
Meanwhile, the mother hare returns home only to find her son gone and so heads out in search of him. Whilst searching, mother hare then encounters a young owl who is lost in the forest. Out of compassion, she helps the little fellow find his way home, and then, after making sure all was taken care of, continues to look for her lost son. Meanwhile, the little owl’s mother, who had also been searching for her lost child, had in fact heard the little hare’s cry for help, but hadn’t stopped to help him.
After arriving back home, Mother Owl then listens to her son’s recount of how he had been helped by Mother Hare and then realizes how selfishly she had behaved. Realizing that she had exhibited very bad behavior, Mother Hare then departs at once to go and help her, who in the meanwhile, has found that her son is being held captive in the Fox's lair. Thanks to the eventual help of Mother Owl, the little hare is then freed, and safely reunited with his mother.
