The Cave of Fear (Italian: La grotta del terrore) is the twenty-first episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot

Sandokan and his friends trek through the jungle to take Jalim back to her village. Suddenly, they are caught in a violent storm, and Sandokan disappears mysteriously. Tremal-Naik and the others leave Kammamuri and Jamil in the safety of a tree hut and set out to search for Sandokan.

By following the abductors’ foot-prints, they reach an abandoned sulfur mine, where Suyodhana, who escaped from the flooded temple, is trying to bend Sandokan’s will through the use of terrifying hallucinations. Sandokan resists and frees himself with the help of the Maratha villagers. Sandokan fights Suyodhana, but the priest is consumed by flames and gets away through the mine shafts.
