Promises of Love is the fourth episode of the first season of the animated series, Sissi: The Young Empress. It was released on October 29, 2015.

Synopsis

The Archduchess Sofia continues to do everything that's simply possible to prevent the engagement between Franz and Sissi. The latter is helping a mother fox wounded by a hunter's trap. She also discovers that the bracelet she wears on her wrist is bewitched and dangerous. If she kisses Franz when she's wearing it, they will immediately lose their memories.

Plot

Sissi and Ludwig help a trapped mother fox which she has a bloody paw. Nut and Shadow are looking for her who takes care of her fox pups before she will not be healthy, but the only available animal that cares a little bit is Sissi. Ludwig says that she is to be worried for her engagement with Franz, which he's sure that her cousin will not fit the frivolous court life, in fact it's the same is for him, the son of the king of Bavaria.

In reality, Ludwig seems to be jealous of him. In Vienna, Sofia plots with the Baroness von Tollet to prevent Franz from returning to meet Sissi and the plan to separate the couple which it seems to work. But Franz has another way and he sends Sissi an invitation to Vienna! She is so excited and very happy to meet him very soon, but worried and discovers the reason for which her animal friends of the forest prevented her from kissing the emperor which it is dangerous magic that is linked to the bracelet. She decides to leave the magic bracelet, but it is not so easy and it is an another obstacle to her relationship with the emperor!

Sofia would be happy for that and gives clear indications to Baroness Von Tollet. When at the Schönbrunn Palace, Sissi has to understand not to be up to the task, to become the future Empress of Austria and so forced to renounce to Franz.
