Marianne, Bayadere of the Sultan (Italian: Marianna baiadera del sultano) is the seventeeth episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot

Sandokan and Yanez dress up as arms traders in order to free Marianne and Kammamuri, are received by the Sultan of Varuni, who is waiting for a mysterious guest. He invites them to one of his dancers’ performances, one among them who happens to be Marianne.

During her brief stay at the palace, Marianne has made friends with a girl named Surama, and together, they plan to escape by pouring a powerful sleeping powder into the wine of the guests and the guards. However, the Sultan’s eagerly awaited guest arrives during the performance, and it is none other than Brooke, who recognizes Sandokan and immediately tries to have him arrested.

However, Brooke is yet again defeated, and our friends escape from the Sultan’s palace with Surama’s help.
