Marianne's Sacrifice (Italian: Il sacrificio di Marianna) is the fourteenth episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot

Once his companions have been freed, Sandokan returns to Mompracem. However, he is concerned that he is not able to give Marianne the life she deserves, so he suggests they take a trip to Singapore for their pleasure. When Sandokan and Marianne arrive in that beautiful oriental city, they soon discover that a famous violinist is holding a concert and they decide to attend. However, during the concert, an unpleasant surprise awaits them... Lord Guillonk is there with his men, and he immediately recognizes Sandokan. Sandokan is captured and locked up in cell and Marianne is taken away. In order to save Sandokan, Marianne agrees to go back to Labuan with Guillonk, on the condition that Sandokan is released. Guillonk accepts, and Sandokan is allowed to escape without being told why. Sandokan then receives a letter from Marianne, in which she asks him not to look for her, and he then understands what has actually happened.
