Kammamuri, Slave of the Rajah

Kammamuri, Slave of the Rajah (Italian: Kammamuri schiavo del Rajah) is the eighth episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot[]

Sandokan, Marianne and Yanez decide to free Kammamuri. A magnificent party has been planned to celebrate the Rajah of Sarawak’s birthday and when our friends arrive at his palace, they gain entrance disguised as itinerant theatrical performers.

They announce that they have been shipwrecked and that they have lost their assistant, a brave boy who played an essential role in their variety acts. Intrigued, Sapagar decides to audition all the young men on Sarawak in order to find a replacement. Naturally, Kammamuri is chosen. On the evening of the performance, our friends are ready to make their escape when Lord Guillonk arrives unexpectedly.

Sandokan and his friends are recognized, however, they free Dharma causing a panic in the palace, and are able to ride an elephant to safety. During their escape, the sound of a flute reminds them that Tremal-Naik is still a prisoner. They take vow that they shall return to free him.
