In Sarawak's Marshes

In Sarawak's Marshes (Italian: Nelle paludi di Sarawak) is the ninth episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot[]

Our friends are back to Sarawak to free Kammamuri’s brother, Tremal-Naik, who is held prisoner in the Rajah’s prison. Sandokan obtains a potion that, when taken, induces a death-like state. Having been imprisoned, he stages a fight with Tremal-Naik, and reveals his true identity. He then tells him of his escape plan.

However, Sapagar recognizes Sandokan by his medallion, and sends a messenger to inform Brooke. Sandokan and Tremal-Naik take the potion, and are mistaken for dead. They are then taken out of the prison, and thrown into an ancient water cistern. Meanwhile, Marianne, Kammamuri and the Tigers have come to Sarawak where they meet Yanez in the jungle. They hurry to the cemetery to free Sandokan and Tremal-Naik, but Dharma guides them instead to the cistern.

Unexpectedly, Brooke arrives on the scene and, as soon as Sandokan regains consciousness, they engage once again in a no holds barred fight. Once again, Brooke is defeated. Tremal-Naik is freed, and they all return to Mompracem, where he recites his story.
