Giltnose's Betrayal

Giltnose's Betrayal (Italian: Il tradimento di Naso d'Oro) is the eighteenth episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot[]

Escape from Varuni is difficult because the port is blockaded, and the boat is guarded day and night. Sandokan and Yanez are looking for a boat in which to make their escape, when they are approached by Golden Nose, a shady individual who offers to sell them his fishing boat. Although in bad repair, the boat will enable them to slip out of the harbor without being noticed. Sandokan accepts, unaware that Golden Nose is plans on turning them over to Brooke for the reward money. Sandokan and his friends reach the open sea, but the fishing boat has been sabotaged, and begins to sink. Here, Brooke awaits them, and they are taken prisoner. Marianne then demands to see her uncle, and while he is momentarily distracted, she pours the remaining sleeping powder into his glass. Then, disguised as Guillonk, she has Sandokan and the Tigers set free. A battle breaks out on the deck of the English ship, but our heroes emerge victorious, and make a successful escape.
