Dharma, The Tiger from India (Italian: Dharma la tigre dell'India) is the seventh episode of the first season (The Tiger of Malaysia) of the animated series, Sandokan.

Plot[]

Life passes happily on Mompracem, but Yanez fears that Sandokan’s love for Marianne will weaken their friendship. With a heavy heart, he sets sail with Kammamuri for Samrinda, one of the most bustling, and important seaports in Borneo, to start a new life. As soon as they land, Yanez is injured in a fight. Kammamuri tries to help him and wanders around the port looking for a poultice, when suddenly, the boy finds himself in front of the magnificent ship belonging to the cruel Rajah of Sarawak. Kammamuri recognizes the tiger held in a large cage on the ship’s deck. It is his brother Tremal-Naik’s pet tiger, Dharma. The Rajah kidnaps Kammamuri, orders the boy to take care of the tiger, and then sets sail for Sarawak. In the meantime, Sandokan, Marianne and the Tigers have come to Samarinda to look for Yanez and make peace with him. They find Yanez, and set off to rescue Kammamuri, but they are not alone, as Brooke intercepts Sandokan’s boat, forcing Sandokan to blow it up, for the purpose of misleading the English to believe all those aboard to have been killed.
