Cinderella is one of the main characters of The Story of Cinderella. She lived with her widowed father and her stepmother and stepsisters.

Background[]

Cinderella was born in a noble family in Emerald Kingdom. Her mother died of an unknown illness when she was young, leaving her husband, the duke, to marry a new wife several years later to take care of Cinderella. After her father had to leave for a long trip, her stepmother and two stepsisters treated her like a servant; making her do all of the cooking, cleaning, and other housework at their command.

Personality[]

She is a kind, gentle, sweet, loving and compassionate girl. She is a generous and selfless girl who cares very much for those around her and often does what she can to help make things better for them. Despite the abuse she faces at the hands of her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, Cinderella is also patient with them and even forgives them for their wrongdoings. Cinderella is cheerful and optimistic and tries to find some joy in her life.

She is shown to be somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to fortune tellers but at the same time seems to have no trouble believing things relating to evil spirits.

When she sees others around her become upset, she tries to cheer them up and encourage them to continue on toward obtaining their goal/dream. During the time she learned her friend Charles was truly the prince of Emerald kingdom, she fell into a depressed state as she felt this meant that they could no longer be friends or see each other again.

Cinderella at times shows to be quite naive as she often takes people at their word for things right away without question unless it goes against the character of someone she knows very well, like her father. Because of this, she is often lied to but takes it as the truth. Even after discovering some lies, she will try to take the blame if any trouble surfaces from the situation so as to not get others in trouble.

Physical Appearance[]

Cinderella is a very beautiful young girl with long light brown hair, blue eyes, fair skin and is normally seen wearing a green and brown servant dress her stepmother forced upon her.

Roles in the series[]

After Cinderella's father leaves for a business trip, the evil stepfamily treated her like a maid and never let her relax. The moment that Cinderella's father left the home, Cinderella was forced out of her own bedroom and made to live in the servant's quarters in the attic of the house so that her stepsister, Jeanne, could take her room. Despite the harsh treatment from her stepfamily, Cinderella continues to do all of the housework without complaining. When Cinderella meets Charles, she finds herself often in curious and unbelievable situations all the while unknowing that Charles was in fact Prince Charles of Emerald Kingdom.

Relationships[]

  • Duchess Danton: Cinderella's stepmother. Before her father's departure, it is assumed they had a loving relationship. After Cinderella's father left, their familial bond became heavily strained when Danton's true personality comes forward. Although Cinderella accepts Danton as her mother figure, she is fully aware that Danton doesn't fully accept her as her own daughter as Danton is more concerned about her true daughters trying to become part of the royal family. At the end of the series, their bond as mother and daughter is repaired and they fully accept one another as true family.
  • Catherine and Jeanne: Cinderella's stepsisters. Seeing the two as her real sisters, Cinderella often tries to bond with the two but her efforts are often pushed back because of the sister's selfish ways and goals to marry Prince Charles.
  • Prince Charles: Charles is first known to Cinderella as a friend and potential fibber because of his many stories trying to cover his true identity. Despite his fibbing, Cinderella sees him as one of her closest and most reliable friends. During their many adventures, they help each other grow in many ways and begin to have feelings of love for one another. By the end of the series, they become engaged and are wed.
