Sissi finds a magic bracelet in the middle of the forest on a secular tree in its hollow trunk. After she discovers it, she has the ability to communicate with her beloved animal friends, Nut, a nice, but sometimes cynical squirrel who becomes her inseparable friend along with her playful dog, Shadow and her faithful horse, Flick. Together, they save a fawn from a hunter. Nenè, Sissi's eldest sister receives an invitation to the court of Vienna for the great ball from Franz's mother, Archduchess Sofia.
She knows that the invitation means only one thing that Franz will announce their engagement, which both of them are in fact engaged since their birth. Sissi considers it horrible that she has to marry him who does not love and even know about her, and at the beginning she does not want to accompany her to the ball.
Sissi changes her mind when she discovers, after she fell off from her horse, doing her aerobatics and Louise was worried that her daughter can have other incidents. Also, she sent Flick in Vienna at the stables of the court. Ludwig, who is the prince of Bavaria, cousin of Sissi, her best friend and falls secretly in love with her, reveals her to get the book that tells the story of a girl who got the magic bracelet centuries ago. Ludwig tells Sissi that the bracelet has many powers and many secrets.
